Importance of "-" sign

OPPOSITE, NEGATIVE, and SUBTRACT.

TO deal with DIVISION we sometimes need to change it to

MULTIPLICATION of the RECIPROCAL 

(FLIP THE SECOND NUMBER)

Knowing what "-" belongs to is very important

we can then apply PEMDAS in the correct way
